info:when she was 12 years old she found a wounded shiny seedot in the grass who was scared so vallery took him to his aunts who are mthe medical care takers of nuzleafs and took care of him,after he recovered he took a liking of her and decided to join her,so vallery accepted him and named him "nicky"  years later of training her nicky evolved into nuzleaf.
when they were walking around they hid behind the bushes and overheard a team rocket guy who was trying to look for the shiny seedot (he is looking for nicky)nuzleaf shivered in fear and hid behind vallery and she realized that the reason why nicky was lost and injured was because he was trying to runaway from that team rocket guy,so she decided to keep an eye on him and make sure that team rocket guy wouldn't catch him.
